Dr. Gabriel Baritulem Pidomson is a former Secretary to the Rivers State Government, former legislator, scholar, and ADC candidate for Governor of Rivers State.
His public life has been shaped by work in government, representation, policy, and community development. As a former Secretary to the State Government, he has worked at the center of state administration, where public decisions require coordination across institutions, communities, and competing priorities.
Dr. Pidomson brings academic preparation in civil engineering management, project management, international management, and leadership. His background reflects a practical understanding of how systems are built, managed, and improved, from infrastructure and public institutions to community development and long-term planning.

Dr. Gabriel Baritulem Pidomson is a former Secretary to the Rivers State Government, former member of the Rivers State House of Assembly, scholar, author, community-recognized leader, and ADC governorship candidate for Rivers State.
His record spans legislative service, state administration, academic achievement, published work, and community leadership. From representing Gokana Constituency in the Rivers State House of Assembly to serving as Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Pidomson has worked inside the institutions responsible for policy, public service, and state development.

He holds a PhD in Management Information Systems from Walden University, USA. He also holds three master’s degrees from the University of Port Harcourt, the University of Liverpool, and the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom.
His academic recognition includes membership in Delta Mu Delta International Honor Society, Golden Key International Honor Society, and fellowship with the Chartered Management Institute, UK.

He is also a Fourth Degree Knight of the Ancient and Noble Order of the Knights of St. John International.

Dr. Pidomson began his political career when he was elected to the Rivers State House of Assembly, representing Gokana Constituency in 2003.
During his time in the House of Assembly, he served as Chairman of committees covering Health, Human Rights and Police Affairs, and Public Petitions and Complaints. His work placed him at the center of issues that affect daily life: healthcare, public safety, citizen rights, and government responsiveness.
On June 8, 2007, Dr. Pidomson was appointed Secretary to the State Government by His Excellency Sir Celestine Omehia, then Executive Governor of Rivers State. He assumed the role at the age of 37, bringing legislative experience and administrative responsibility into one of the most senior offices in state government.
